For supported objects, you can use the Backup & Recovery platform to restore Metadata quickly and easily.

### ⚙️ How to Restore Metadata

1. **Navigate to the Metadata page.**  
This is your starting point for managing and restoring Metadata snapshots.
2. **Select Object Types:**
  - Click **Types** in the top-right corner.
  - Choose any of the supported Metadata object types (see full list below).
  - Click the **back arrow** next to "Metadata Types" to return to the main Metadata page.
3. **Run a Restore:**
  - Click the **Snapshot** to begin the restore process.
  - The job will start automatically, and its progress and status will appear in the grid below.
  - The page auto-refreshes, but a manual **Refresh** button is also available at the top right for convenience.
4. **Review Metadata History:**
  - Multiple snapshots will appear in the grid.
  - Use the **three-dot menu** (⋮) on the left side of each entry to:
    - **Compare Types** between snapshots (side-by-side)
    - **View** details for Total, New, Updated, and Deleted items
    - **Delete** the restore snapshot if no longer needed
5. **Explore Snapshot Details:**
  - Click into any object type to view a detailed breakdown of its contents.
  - Selecting an individual Metadata record will display its **XML view**.
  - You can filter the view by:
    - **All**
    - **New**
    - **Updated**
    - **Deleted**

### :warning: Restoring Non-Supported Objects

For Metadata types not listed above, we recommend using **Workbench** for restoration.
