Stay informed about your backup and recovery status by setting up email notifications and enabling smart alerts.

### 📨 **Configure Email Notifications**

Set up your email server details on the **Config** page. You’ll need to provide:

- **Host** — The mail server address (e.g., [http://smtp.yourcompany.com](http://smtp.yourcompany.com) )
- **Port** — The port number used by your mail server (e.g., 587)
- **Username** — The username for authentication
- **Password** — The password for authentication
- **From** — The email address that notifications will be sent from
- **TLS** — Enable or disable Transport Layer Security as required by your server

> ℹ️ Work with your IT or security team to get the correct server settings.

‼️ **Enable Smart Alerts**

You can turn on **Smart Alerts** for each backup individually:

1. Go to the **Details** page for the specific backup job.
2. Locate the **Smart Alerts** toggle.
3. Switch it **on** to receive real-time alerts about backup events.
