You can perform a **point-in-time restore** for an individual record to roll back specific fields to a previous version. This is designed to correct data within an existing record — not to restore deleted records.

---

### 🔑 **Key Points:**

- **One Record at a Time:**
A point-in-time restore only works for a single record. Users can choose which fields to recover from an older version.
- **Not for Deleted Records:**
The record must exist — restoring versions is not supported for records in a deleted state.

---

## ⚙️ **How to Restore a Record to a Previous Version:**

1. **Select a Record:**
  - In the data grid, select exactly **one** record.
  - If no record or multiple records are selected, show an error:
*“1 row must be selected only.”*
2. **Open Versions:**
  - From the **Actions** dropdown, choose **View Versions**.
3. **Compare Versions:**
  - Review previous versions of the record.
  - The **Restore** option is only available if the record is not deleted.
  - Fields that are both updateable and have changed will display checkboxes for selection.
4. **Select Fields to Restore:**
  - On the compare page, choose one or more fields to revert.
  - If no fields are selected, show an error:
    *“No fields selected to restore.”*
5. **Restore the Record:**
  - Click **Restore Record** (only visible when actively restoring).
  - Confirm the action when prompted:
*“Are you sure you want to restore this record to a previous version?”*
6. **Result:**
  - If successful, show a confirmation modal:
*“Restore was successful. Please run a backup to sync these changes.”*
  - If unsuccessful, show an error modal:
*“Restore failed. Please check the error logs.”*

> ℹ️ After restoring, always run a new backup to ensure your backup reflects the latest restored data.
